Engineer Jajere Sagiru Adamu is the new General Manager, Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Division of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), a Corporate Services Unit in the Upstream Autonomous Business Unit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. He holds a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering (B. Engr. Hon. Civil) from the Prestigious University of Maiduguri.

Mr. Jajere joined the services of NNPC in 1992 as an Engineering officer and was deployed to the National Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO) as an Engineering Designer Officer.

He spent thirteen quality years in NETCO garnering, Experience and immensely contributing his due quota in the success story of the various Engineering Projects in NETCO.

By dint of hard work, he rose through the ranks to become a Deputy Manager after passing the Chief Officers Management Promotion Exam and was later deployed to the Nigerian Content Development Board.

After another successful outing in Management Promotion Exam in 2018, he became a full Manager and was posted to the Engineering and Technical Division as the Manager in charge of Value for Money and Cost Optimization at the Corporate Headquarters Abuja. Within the time he was in NETCO and in the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board, Engr. Jajere made very outstanding contributions to the growth of NNPC which strongly recommended him for higher responsibilities.

Hence, at the creation of the Nigerian Content Division, when Management needed young men and women of vision and strong drive and commitment who could push the Local Content Initiation to fruition at record time. His NETCO experience and contributions were reference point. Engr. Jajere came on board and with his team, they were able to successfully berth the signing of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act into law in 2010. After which He was thereupon nominated as a number of the Implementation Committee thereby serving as a pioneer staff of the NCDMB.

He was appointed General Manager, Capital Project Management in July 2019. Then following the recent redeployment exercise in NNPC he was moved to his present position as GM, PSC Division in NAPIMS.

As seen above, it is obvious that Engr. Jajere, Sagiru Adamu comes to NAPIMS with profound and robust experience in Project Management having naturally developed Competences and skills in various areas of Engineering and Designs, Project Management, Contract Administration, Compliance Management with Local regulations and Cost Engineering.

As a quintessential professional, Engr. J.S. Adamu belongs to many professional Bodies. He is Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); Registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN); Member, American Construction Institute; Member, Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE).
